


If you find the samples to be too flat, maybe SD3 isn’t the right software for you. The overheads would introduce some stereo samples and the room might to (not sure who the mics are setup in SS3) In the first case that’s pretty much what I’d expect, although it might be panned in the mix.

In either case you can adjust the curve so whilst it may take some time to setup, you can get there.Īs for the monotone issue, do you mean that it’s a mono output or that you find the sample to be very monotonic and not well rounded? That’ll help you figure out where to start looking. Do they look like what you played? If so then the velocity issue is in SD3, if not then it’s in your module. I’d start by recording the midi into reaper and taking a look at the velocity levels which have been recorded.
